Happy New Years! How is it already 2016?
This blog is about to get REAL! What I mean by real is… I am sharing some pictures of how our Christmas and New Years went. No fancy camera, no elegant parties, no fancy clothes, just us in the moment with our families. This is how we truly do the Holidays.
My company shuts down over Christmas till the New Year so I took this time to just be with family, my husband, and babies. I took a little hiatus from blogging and to enjoy precious moments with them.
Our Christmas was spent with our extended families. We let the kids open gifts, the guys enjoy a game of 42, (a game my Grandaddy loved to play). On Christmas morning we ate breakfast in our jammies at my Nanny’s and just enjoyed presents and conversations. It is truly a time for us all to just be together and enjoy this life with one another.
New Years Eve was not your typical “night out on the town”. What we thought was a night out with some friends to enjoy grown up time without the babies turned into a night with some hiccups. Our Brynlee decided that this night was meant for a full blown meltdown. She did not think it was fair that she had to spend her New Years Eve without mom and dad. With her stuck to our legs we decided to take her with us. Even though this was not what we had planned, it turned out to be a night full of laughs and memories. A fancy party with dancing, free drinks, or beautiful gowns could not top this night. We rang in the New Year with our best friends, our crazy Brynlee, and their sweet baby.
These pictures were not done by a professional photographer. They came from my phone and my DSLR camera that I still have no idea how to use.
