Welcome Y’all!
Thanks to Laura with The Avery Grace, I am able to share with you how the Krasniqis’ decorate for Christmas! I do want to warn you, as beautiful as these pictures look, (Thank you Laura and Hayley) there was pure chaos and madness running rampant behind the scenes. My sweet yet crazy kids, Brynlee (3) and Braxton (1) were in full force but we welcome crazy in our home!
If this is your first time visiting Steel Southern Pretty let me introduce myself. I’m Brooke and I love Jesus, my husband Driton, and my two beautiful kids Brynlee Jo and Braxton Lee. I am brand spanking new to the blogging world, one month to be exact. Can I just tell you that I am hooked. Fashion has always been something that I have loved, even at a young age. I feel that after having my two kiddos that I finally found the style that suits me and makes me feel pretty. I hope to bring that to life for others, so they too can feel great in what they wear. I also want to make it easy for my readers to purchase clothes that are affordable… let’s be honest not everyone can buy Tom Ford and Givenchy.
I am thrilled to share with y’all my Christmas decorations and how we do things in our home. To be honest… I love buying the decor but I usually have to enlist the help of friends (Laura and Hayley) to help me place them in the perfect spot. The style of decor that I always seem to venture to is Southern rustic, modern, and simple.
The one thing I am most picky about when it comes to decorating is… ornaments. I like clean and simple and I usually to stay away from adding any themed ornaments. That all went out the window this year. Brynlee was very excited to add her home made ornaments as well as the ones that were given to us by friends. How could I resist?
My favorite decoration is the Christmas cards that we receive from family and friends. I usually hang them from our kitchen bar top and by the end of December it is filled up with beautiful families.
Brynlee asked insisted that I introduce our Elf, Christmas! He always seems to find amazing spots to hang on and even makes a few messes while he is visiting our home. This is a tradition that I started and hope to continue for awhile because of the excitement it brings to our home.
The newest item that I added to my collection of decorations is my wooden Nativity Scene. I purchased this from some beautiful friends at their Etsy store called The Blondette. Please stop by and check out some of their amazing goodies!
Last but not least, I just had to share with you our sweet Lucy! She is my little redhead who loves to cuddle and eat up all the scraps that the kids drop on the ground. We adopted her from my in-laws and she has helped Brynlee to overcome her fear of dogs.
Most of my decorations were purchased at Hobby Lobby, Homegoods, and Target. I am all about buying beautiful decor at a great price.
Thank you so much for touring our home! I hope you check back in for some of my fashion posts. I want to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas. May the Lord bring health and happiness to your home!
Please take some time to check out the homes of some beautiful women on the first annual Holiday Home Tour! I promise, you won’t be disappointed. A huge Thank You to my dear friend Laura with The Avery Grace for putting this fabulous tour together.
