First I want to put out there that I am grateful and thankful to my Heavenly Father for his love, mercy, and guidance as he has given me the courage to start the blog I only dreamed of a few years back.
Well, this is it, I am finally taking a leap of FAITH and starting a lifestyle fashion blog. I of course want to thank a special friend who helped me put this plan into action and gave me the confidence I needed. Laura you are the sweetest most generous human being I have ever met and I am just so thankful for your friendship. If you haven’t visited her blog please do so at The Avery Grace.
I am a southern girl born and raised in a small town outside of Dallas, Texas. Fashion has been a huge part of my life since I can remember. My mom loves to tell people that at the ripe age of 18 months she would have to argue with me over the clothes I would wear. I never liked what she picked out for me and refused to wear it. I grew up like everyone else going through the wonderful fashion changes that decided to make their appearance. However, I always loved to put my spin on the latest trend and that hasn’t changed after 29 years.
Now at the age of 29, I am a wife to my high school sweetheart Driton who is the sweetest most cleanest man ever! What I mean by clean is he always picks up after himself and helps with chores around the house. Yes, I am one lucky lady. I am also the mama (that’s what they call me) to two fabulous children Brynlee Jo who is 3 and Braxton Lee who is 1. They are my people and they make life so much sweeter. Brynlee is the personality of our family. She seems to make a huge impact every where she goes. She hasn’t met a stranger yet. I am sure you will understand soon enough! Braxton is my little bulldozer. He loves to climb, is very nosy, and likes to play with big sis. My people will be a huge part of this blog because they are what makes me, we’ll me.
Another part of my life that will be documented in this blog is my faith and my involvement in my church. I have attended the same church for my entire life. My family has gone to our church over 55 years. Our church family are the most amazing people, who not only keep me grounded but also love me for me! They not only love me, but they love my husband and children.
I am very excited to get Steel Southern Pretty up and running. I hope you enjoy. Everything I post is the real me, what I love, who I love, and what I wear. My heart and soul will be poured out into each post and I hope you guys see that. Just a little bit of info on my shopping style, I purchase items from all sorts of stores. You will see me wear clothes from Ross to Nordstrom. To me it is not about how much money you spend or the name brand, it’s about how you feel when you look in the mirror. I won’t purchase or wear something unless I can feel confident in what I have on. My hope is that you all can see that with every post I make.
Thank You again for spending time reading my very first post. You have no idea how thankful I am for you.
